NASA POWER irradiance, ERA5 wind reanalysis, and ESA Sentinel-1 SAR data retrieved and parsed to your site coordinates. Grid connection, planning constraints, and utility routes assembled from open government sources. Delivered as a structured report within the hour.
ESA Sentinel-1 SAR, NASA POWER irradiance, ERA5 wind reanalysis, EMODnet bathymetry, and six UK DNO grid datasets — retrieved, parsed, and presented in a single document.
NASA POWER GHI, DNI, and DHI parsed to a twenty-year climatological mean. ERA5 wind speed extracted from a local reanalysis record and extrapolated to hub height. PVGIS energy output calculated from measured irradiance at site-specific tilt.
Every data source cited with version, dataset identifier, and query timestamp. Source reliability quality ratings per section. IEC-aligned yield methodology. Nothing in the report that cannot be independently verified.
QuantumRx membership verification at point of submission. Signed 72-hour download links. No data retained beyond 90 days.
Assembling the data needed to evaluate a candidate site currently takes days across six separate sources. Medha compresses that to under an hour, drawing on the same satellite imagery, geospatial datasets, and open government data that practitioners use.
Every report presents the data in full — grid headroom, constraint designations, resource figures, utility distances, yield estimates, and cable route costs — cited, timestamped, and classified using a recognised intelligence standard. Nothing is inferred that cannot be evidenced.
Medha is the step before commitment. The instrument that gives you the complete picture before you decide whether the next step is worth taking.
The pipeline runs automatically from the moment a report is ordered. No analyst queue, no project intake, no kickoff call. Satellite and meteorological data is retrieved first. Grid, constraint, and infrastructure data follows. The report presents everything together, fully cited, in a single document.
Enter a site coordinate or polygon, select the technology type, specify the site area. Provide your licence key or sign in with your QuantumRx membership email. The report pipeline starts immediately.
The system queries the national substation database, calculates proximity to grid infrastructure at each voltage level, assesses headroom, and checks voltage compatibility. Every applicable planning constraint layer is intersected against the site boundary in parallel.
The system identifies the nearest classified road and assesses abnormal load route feasibility for construction traffic. Water mains, fibre infrastructure, and onshore cable route from site to the grid connection point are all calculated using least-cost routing — avoiding planning constraints, heritage zones, and major crossings. Each route segment is costed against published benchmarks and rendered on the interactive map.
NASA POWER GHI, DNI, and DHI are retrieved for the site coordinates and parsed to a twenty-year climatological mean with monthly profiles. ERA5 wind speed at 10m is extracted from a locally held reanalysis record and extrapolated to hub height using the wind power law. Global Wind Atlas Weibull parameters are retrieved for the site. PVGIS calculates energy output from the measured irradiance data at the site-specific tilt angle.
Site overview and regional context maps rendered for the PDF. The interactive H3 geospatial map is built with adaptive resolution and switchable layers covering topography, grid infrastructure, resource heat maps, constraint zones, flood risk, soil type, and fibre infrastructure.
All structured findings are assembled into a coherent report — per-section data narrative, confidence rating on each data source, and a summary of what the findings show. The interpretation and the decision remain with the buyer. The PDF is assembled with Source reliability classification per section, full data provenance, and query timestamps. Both deliverables are sent by email within two minutes of completion.
Every source used in a Medha report is publicly available, independently maintained, and cited with version, dataset identifier, and query timestamp. The report presents the data as retrieved. We do not model or interpolate where the source data speaks directly.
Sentinel-1 SAR imagery for dark vessel detection, land use verification, and site change detection. 10m resolution, 24/7 cloud-penetrating radar.
Global solar irradiance — GHI, DNI, DHI — from satellite observations. Twenty-year climatological averages at 0.5 degree resolution, updated near-real time.
ECMWF ERA5 wind speed at 10m extrapolated to hub height. Twenty-year UK record held locally on-platform. Sub-second per-job queries.
Substation locations, voltage levels, firm capacity, and generation headroom from all six GB distribution network operators. Updated monthly.
SSSI, SAC, SPA, National Parks, AONB, Flood Zones, ALC grades, heritage designations, and aviation safeguarding zones from primary authority sources across all four UK nations.
Bathymetry, seabed substrate, existing cable and pipeline routes, shipping lanes, and marine protected area boundaries for offshore assessments.
European Commission JRC photovoltaic yield tool. PR-adjusted specific yield, optimal tilt, and monthly generation profiles for UK sites.
DTU and World Bank. Weibull distribution parameters at multiple heights across the UK at 250m resolution. Used for wind resource characterisation.
Water mains, gas mains, and overhead line routes across Great Britain. Used for utility proximity and route planning from site to nearest service.
Classified road network for construction access and abnormal load routing. Ofcom Connected Nations for fibre route proximity and SCADA connectivity assessment.
Medha reports are desktop intelligence products. They support early-stage decision-making and do not substitute for investment-grade feasibility studies, on-site measurement campaigns, or legal opinions. Every section carries an explicit data quality rating.
Every section carries a two-part data quality rating. The rating separates the reliability of the source from the credibility of the specific information it provides. This framework is used across defence, intelligence, and regulatory communities worldwide.
Yield calculations and resource assessments follow recognised international standards. P50 and P90 estimates are derived from long-term satellite datasets using interannual variability statistics consistent with standard industry practice for desktop studies.
Solar yield calculations, PR adjustment, specific yield methodology, and P50/P90 derivation aligned to this standard.
Wind resource assessment, hub height extrapolation, Weibull parameter application, and AEP calculation aligned to this standard.
Two-part data quality classification — source reliability (A-F) and information credibility (1-6) — applied per report section.
A developer screening a candidate site currently pulls data from six sources, assembles it by hand, and still misses the constraints that kill a project. Medha does that work automatically and delivers a verdict before they commit to the next step.
A land agent is screening eight farm sites across Yorkshire for a solar developer client. The developer needs a ranked shortlist by end of week. Manual screening of all eight would take the agent's team four days and still leave the grid connection picture unclear at most sites.
They submit all eight as a batch using a single Medha licence key. Each site returns a full report within 30 minutes. The batch comparative summary ranks all eight and flags the two sites with fatal constraints immediately.

Medha is a compute-led intelligence platform delivering structured, evidence-based reports on decisions that require geospatial analysis at speed. The platform draws on earth observation data, open geospatial sources, and satellite-derived datasets that are publicly available but rarely assembled in a form that is immediately useful to a practitioner.
The first tool assembles complete site data for renewable energy development. Designed for land agents, renewable developers, and project finance teams who need the measured and observational data picture on a candidate site before committing to a full feasibility study.
Medha is operated by QuantumRx, a UK applied intelligence company. Membership is managed at quantumrx.eu.
